I have been thinking of you since the tragedy in the Red Lake Nation.

My heart goes out to you and to others in these communities.

I would imagine that, rather than think of what to address...to just
open some space, and as you know, all the right things will come into
the circle and into the conversations. If it was possible I would give
it 2 days, and yes, this will not be the only time people will need to
come together.

Possible theme: something like what Jack says, or...naming our
experience...or finding words for what has happened and what can
happen...or...?

And invite everyone who wants to come, with a few rules of coverage for
any media folks who may wish to attend, or closure to the media with the
opportunity to come into the room post-event to take photos and record
notes of the topics on the agenda wall, excerpts given from the Book of
Proceedings, or whatever the community feels (as discussed in advance)
is appropriate.

And take good care of yourself, too, as you work to help others take
care of their selves.

You are in our thoughts,

Lisa
