Trust the Process OR Trust the People?

Yesterday I watched 35 Cleveland area facilitators engage each other for the first time in two hours of conversations that participants today described as "electric", "enlightening", and "outstanding." They represented government and grassroots organizations, independent corporate types, a Taoist healer, and CPA. There were people from every generation representing every continent. No one managed, led, directed, controlled or facilitated any of it, including of course the Open Space conversation on raising perceptions of the value of facilitation in the communities represented. It was people trusting themselves to be themselves in new conversations. Ordinary magic.
