Access Queen, the Global Village Marketplace, and the Silent Auction

Okay but before I go, I wanted to share this last message with you:

At the Open Space on Open Space in Halifax next month, we will have 3
kids of resource-sharing activities. So if you are coming to the OSonOS
or know someone who is, you may want to know about the following -

* Global Village Marketplace is where we set up some tables and
sell to each other folk crafts from our various countries, books about
Open Space, things we or our neighbors or friends have made -- poetry,
jewelry, knitted items, scarves, shawls, ornamental eggs - whatever each
of you/us feels inspired to pack into our suitcases and bring along.
You can sell your items to raise money for yourself, or for your
community organization back home, or you can donate that money to the
Access Queen Fund *.

* Silent Auction is where we have tables with items on them with
little cards next to them - you write your name on a card plus an amount
you are willing to pay for an item you wish to purchase. Towards the
end of the OSonOS whoever has bid the highest amount gets the fabulous
item, and the money raised goes to the Access Queen Fund. So you may
wish to pack along or send with someone some very great piece of folk
art, fabric, food from your country, offer of services, book or whatever
to contribute to the auction. Want to buy a CD of music featuring our
own Chris Corrigan? That, a Turtles t-shirt from Therese, services from
Raffi and other fabulous items will be available for your auction bids
at the Silent Auction table.

* Additionally, Be Prepared to Be Surprised: Random Acts of
Generosity and playfulness happen at an OSonOS, all in the support of
the Access Queen Fund. You have already heard of the possibility of
little massages (thanks, Marei!), and who knows what else may pop up?
In past years OSonOS participants have announced dance lessons, hikes,
massages, music making - all as little ways to raise funds for the
Access Queen Fun. Maybe you, too have something to teach and share with
us while at the same time supporting the Fund and our askers and
ourselves with your generosity, expertise and playfulness.

So: have fun thinking of what you might bring along or send with
someone, and thank you all for your warm support of Access Queen and her
little project of sharing resources, energy, belief and mutual support,

Lisa

* Anything raised this year for the AQ Fund that is not spent to assist
current Askers remains in the Fund for assisting next year's Askers.
