A new resource for virtual community! ;-)

For those of us who would like to enliven our practice, enrich our
lives, and quicken our spirit, I will be facilitating a virtual book
discussion group. Please contact me if you are interested (and please
note the only current email address for me). At the organizing meeting,
we will discuss frequency of meetings, dates, times, and also choose
what the reading(s) will launch our discussions.
The idea of this group comes from Marge Schiller, Madame President of
Positive Change Corps, and we will be using the PCC conference call
number. ;-)
Possibilities for discussion include, but are not limited to: Andreas,
Connierae and Tamara Andreas, Core Transformation: Reaching the
Wellspring Within; Buckingham, Marcus and Donald Clifton, Now, Discover
Your Strengths; Cameron, Kim et al, Positive Organizational
Scholarship; Covey, Stephen, The Eighth Principle; Dyer, Wayne, The
Power of Intention; Friedman, Thomas, The World is Flat: A Brief
History of the 21st Century; Gladwell, Malcolm, Blink; Kahane, Andrew,
Solving Tough Problems: An Open Way of Talking, Listening, and Creating
New Realities; Pink, Daniel, A Whole New Mind: Moving From the
Information Age to the Conceptual Age; Quinn, Robert, Building the
Bridge as You Walk on it: A Guide for Leading Change; Schweitz, Rita
and Martens, Kim, Future Search in School District Change; Secard,
Brigit, Soulfire: The Birth of Wild Aliveness; Senge, Peter et al,
Presence: Human Purpose and the Field of the Future; Watson, Don, Death
Sentences: How Cliches, Weasel Words, and Management-speak are
Strangling Public Language; Zinn, Howard, You Can't be Neutral on a
Moving Train: A Personal History of Our Times.
Marge suggested this group as a way for us to take our reading (too
often rushed, incomplete, quickly forgotten) to the next level. By
sharing our reflections, we are hoping that participants in the group
will find the books are richer experiences, and easier to integrate
into our practices and within our lives. There will be a volunteer
moderator for each book discussed, so please let the group know which
one(s) you'd like to lead on.
Please let me know of your interest, and also note my changed e-mail
address.
Appreciatively,
Kate
