TR: what's in a word?

Michael,
How can you say "I very much doubt that we share the same values and
principles" based on our short exchanges? I won't go further in this
semantic debate.

I wish this string would continue in the listserve.
Of course, each of us has his own style, fashion, likes, peculiarities,
approaches...but I very much doubt that we share the same values and
principles. For me that is also not the important question in the
context of my work as a "whatever one might call it".
In that context, I would not speak of "initiating" an Open Space event.
Its the sponsor who does that. I am the fellow that introduces the Open
Space Technology and tries to follow the dictum of "holding time and
space". The space needs no initiating by me, it is already there.
So, my style or approach is determined by my understanding of my role
and I assume that everyones style or approach reflects the understanding
of that persons role. And the role is in turn determined by my
understanding of the forces of selforganisation that might be especially
visible in the course of an open space event although they are active
regardless of the event.
My quest is not for the one best word, I am interested in stories about
how I and others navigate in this business of accompanying open space
events.
