This being human is a guest house
Every morning a new arrival.

A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.

Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honourably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.

Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

Looking for insights, experience, guidance where the facilitator opens and
holds the space on a topic about which she /he is passionate and would love
to convene or participate in the sessions? I am hosting an event this week
in my home on the topic Connecting the dots..What are the possibilities of
our collective efforts? 20 people have now expressed interest in coming
along and I'm very excited about the possibilities. For the curious (and I
mentioned I would circulate this in a session convened by Henri Lipmanowicz
in Halifax) go to http://www.litglobal.com/stories/events.htm to see the
invitation.

Judy, how did you contain, restrain yourself in Halifax? AND a very big
gracious thank YOU, and to every single person who participated in everyway
for a wonderful experience - in many, many ways.

Hi Eric,

Eric,
Thanks for the great travel tips, especially about Cape Breton. I am
heading back there week after next with my husband, Juergen and can't wait.
We plan to camp and bike and kayak and photograph. Gabriela Ender spent the
weekend with me here "doing" New York (big contrast) having just come from
Cape Breton and had a similar response to you. Inspiring.

Nova Scotia.......aaaahhhhhhhhh

Robyn
