Hello Friends,
In a recent email exchange with our dearest Raffi, he happened to mention
that in Russian, Harrison Owen, is Xarrison Ouen. Now, considering how
often Harrison gets referred to as ho around here.well it got me
thinking.that in Russian, it would make for the initials, XO, which are
about the most fabulous set of initials anybody could have.<grin>
A kiss and a hug to you all,
Wendy
PS: (for those not in on the short form.around here, when you sign a card
and put a row of x's and o's, you are sending kisses (x's) and hugs (o's))
PPS: the conversation was about the possibility of creating a learning
resource so that those who will be travelling to Moscow next year can learn
to read Cyrillic and instantly gain an understanding of such Russian
inscrutibilia as Xarrison Ouen and open speis.
