Silence

Morning

I awake held in deep silence:
the birds are flying beneath my balcony.
I need not look to the sky,
the swallow is sweeping between my heart and my belly.

Somewhere in the night
My center has moved to a deeper place.


The above is a true story, written on the last morning of the second Open
Space I attended--an Open Space that opened things that had been closed in me for
a long time, and encouraged me to write again.
