Fear and control

hello all

This image has been resonating in my mind for a few days now. Clutch coin,
palm down, open hand.. coin drops. Clutch coin, palm open, open hand,...coin
stays.
I think it's all about a new way of understanding control. Letting go of
control of outcome is so central to OPen Space. So many people are afraid
that this means chaos - no control. And yet the open hand is Not  'no
control' - it is just different. A client of mine recently said [after
experienceing a successful OST] - 'frame it and be fluid'.

Mirror images - the other side of the coin:
Not knowing the answer.............but having the question
Not saying what things/processes may be done.... but saying what [from the
sponsor's perspective] may not be done [the constraints/givens] and within
that space, all is open
Not assigning accountability............but seeking passion and
responsibility

THis could bea nifty little list. Anyone want to continue?
