Rome was one year ago - any news?

the first thing I have to say is that I was operating on "my edges" -- well
beyond whatever rules or principles I could have enunciated at the time. I
didn't have a clue what would happen -- I only knew that The Plan
(priorities, action plans etc.) was hollow at best -- and probably
counter-productive. We needed some more space, and that is what I attempted
to provide -- not as an intervention, as in you should do -- but as an
invitation to reflect. I did know that there was plenty of time for Action
Plans (all afternoon of the third day) if people were really into that. But
choosing to go there was critical -- not just because that is what it said
in the "rules" but because folks really wanted to go there.  It certainly
didn't feel like genius, but it did feel right.
