Education Systems Query

hello brendan, and congrats on all the news and progress!

on the online question, i'd suggest a look at metanet. i
love that space and approach, coupled with osonos-like
periodic reunions to renew the face-to-face connections,
even if they are in several places at once. mostly i think
online isn't different from onsite. the thing to do is to
just do it... metanet, yahoogroups elist, their own internal
system (queensland education has their own online learning
space).... wherever... just do it. find a place to post
your little opening, tailor it a bit for the slightly
different environment and go for it. there is still some
chance we'll do the training and practice workshop online
for queensland, too. in thinking through that, i thought
the most important thing was that participants be granted
some sort of license to convene os meetings in their area...
some sort of right to invite, something only slightly more
explicit, valid, broad, etc. than what they'd always already
had, but this legitimacy/excuse would be something that
might help them stretch a bit further than they otherwise
might. and then just keep them coming back to share the
stories with each other. for me os has always been a
practice in personal invitation AND community conversation.
am working on more schools stuff here, too. go go go!

thanks for your good work and your good news!
