Hello

Yesterday we facilitated a classic strategic application in open
space for the Further Education sector in Scotland.  Principals of
the 46 colleges were asked to input issues and actions for
consideration by the Funding Council in its corporate plan from
2003-06.

The 83 participants created 16 issue sessions and presented 49
actions for consideration.  The top eight priorities will be
presented to the Minister when he attends a Funding Council Board
meeting this morning.  And all this from an  event with a lapse time
of less than four hours.

The second thrust to this strategic application would be to recovene
the Community for detailed action planning over the priorities set by
the Funding Council in the Corporate Plan.
