help me think this through?

Interesting thoughts, Ted, Winston, Glory and others.

I have a different way of looking at this.

Ted asked:
>How do I the invite them to know about the HM and perhaps join if
they're so
inclined? >What do you think? Does it go in the closing? Does it
happen as a handout that invites them to a standard informational
meeting?

I have been both host/sponsor *and* facilitator at the same event.

When I am both host/sponsor and also facilitator, as in my learning
workshops or my recent public Open Space about The Practice of Peace, I
feel very comfortable laying some information on the handouts /
materials table or Breaking News table about ways to learn more about
Open Space, and in a public forum or a conference I also put my business
cards on the handouts / materials table (as I welcome anyone else to).
I also always encourage participants to put their own announcements up
on the Breaking News wall as well as the proceedings from the
discussions / News Room. It's another kind of marketplace.

It's just like putting materials in the room people can utilize if they
want or not if they don't. I don't feel it gets in the way of me being
totally present...they can pay attention to it or not...it's like me
being in the room when they ask me how to learn more about OST (which is
what happens all the time). It doesn't seem to break me out of my
clean, clear holding space, nor does it seem to break them out of their
focus on their own being in the space / the work they are gathered to
do.

Sometimes when talk in the sharing of the Closing Circle includes
mention of the process/tool of OST and folks wanting to learn more, I
will even include where they can find more information / upcoming
workshop dates / talk of our global community waiting to help and
support them -- in my closing words. If they don't bring it up I don't
bring it up.

When I am *not* the host/sponsor, by the way, that sponsor often asks me
to place my materials on a community information table in or near the
Open Space room. If they don't ask, I don't do it.

My two rubles (hello, dear Elena!)
