So Michael is in India generating crazy ideas with Malay Biswas; he has
asked me to forward this one to the list. It looks intriguing to
me...others are invited to respond off list to the two co-conspirators.

Greetings from Mumbai in India, where Malay Biswas and I have been
talking
about what we think is an interesting OSONOS idea. We are here together
now at the training and practice workshop being hosted by Sushma Sharma
and Sankar Ramamoorthy. We?re looking forward to meeting again next
month
in Melbourne.

What we?ve been talking about here is a joint proposal for the next
OSONOS
-- simultaneously in US (eastern, maybe Washington again) and India
(probably
Delhi)-- but we want to make this as international a proposal as we can.
We want to propose this India-US dance as a foundation for OSONOS-11
and
also invite additional locations that would be more or less evenly
distributed
around the world, say Europe and Australia added to India and eastern
US,
to have not more than four gatherings spread fairly evenly around the
globe.

We like the idea of returning to the eastern end of North America (after
four of the last five in central and west areas). We like the idea of
supporting
an emerging Asian Open Space community, in the wake of a number of
trainings
held in India, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore this year and talk of
connecting
practitioners in all of these places. We like the idea of adding two
more
sites to make this a world-around sort of feast. We like the idea of
using
our new capability of posting all of our proceedings to the same website
and making a bigger space for simultaneous online wiki-based
participation
for non-travellers.

We think this raises all kinds of new possibilities for OSONOS and Open
Space, regionally and worldwide. If you want to co-convene such a thing
next year, onsite or online, please let us know (off-list and we will
add
you to the list of co-conveners when we float this idea in Melbourne.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
