Wow!

I received my OS list, digest version, this evening to see that already
this thread is so rich. So many items begging thought and response.  Due
to lack of free energy to respond more, I will be digesting in my spare
time for the next few days.  Meanwhile, some people may enjoy following
this link to Stuart Kauffman's home page at the Santa Fe Institute:

On the possibility you are curious and haven't yet read his books, some
of his material is there accessible to read.  These investigations (and
others) into complex adaptive systems are quite interesting.
