Almond Tree Flowers and Tears (long)

Harrison--

Thanks for being there, and for the good work of Tova and Avner as well. And
thanks for writing about it so poignantly and beautifully.  Holding a space
for those who want peace seems like a possible way to tip the scales toward
hope, trust and respect in this ancient land.

I was in Israel once, a little later in the spring, and remember standing on
a hillside above the traditional Field of the Shepherds, eating green almonds
picked from a nearby tree.

Who knows what the fruit of these days of almond tree flowers and tears will
be?
