\Holding space

We just arrived home from a workshop with a client (not OS).  This week I was
the main presenter and Paul was holding space most of the time.  When we
arrived home around 4:00, he said, "Why am I so tired?" and went to bed.  We
were discussing grief work in organizations (with thanks to Harrison for his
good work on the subject), and were all close to tears as we worked.

I believe that space holding is about something more than people.  I've had a
few experiences of holding space for a group which arrived and hour or two
later than expected--holding the space in the meanwhile changed both the
space and me.  Some things are just Mystery.
