Working over a theme with a group on a conference call

Knowing how we react is interesting; knowing how your participants react is
important.  I've done quite a bit of work having organizations write misson
statements as a collaborative exercise, at a single meeting.  The resulting
statement may seem very mundane to outsiders, but to those who were part of
the process, the statement is powerful.  Like the old joke, "you had to be
there!"
