Dear friends in Northamerica and in the other parts of the world,
my first thoughts went to those of you on the eastcoast and then to
the westcoast where a couple of friends I called were still in bed
and then I had the urge to call all my kids, which I did, and then
all kinds of people called me from all over Germany and people in the
neighborhood in this suburb part of Berlin called and came by.
Gerhard Schroeder appeared on TV, very disturbed and somber. Flags on
all federal buildings in Berlin were lowered.
A great surge of agonized interest and shock and also connectedness
in the face of this unthinkable disaster is travelling through the
communities...while people are dancing in the streets of Beirut.
Lets stick together in the face of this madness.

my friends

what is touching me so deep
is the feeling that i am part of what happended:
in the relationship of thinking about, thinking, suffering,
looking on, judging, listening, being informed and doing it.
there must have been preformed pictures in my brain,
(otherwise i couldn´t realise what i´m seeing)
that makes me aware, that what happended
had been a possible image as "well" in my unconcious.
today i have been taught, that even apocalyptic visions or dreams of the hidden
inner life
since today are not very far from reality. what and where is the distance ?
anguish comes up.
being part of the human family i´ve got a horrible extension of my
possiblities.
but at the same time must be true, that there is only few distance as well
between the deepest yearning for peace and humanity an the realisation of it.
but
what happend today also is part of humanity. it is.
we are they, they are we. we are together part of the human unic whole.
holding space including every possibility is hard to accept. we must.
(perhaps my language is unsufficiant in this moment. but i need the contact to
you, please)
