One voice for the listserv format

Open space friends --

I like the listserv format. it gives me a chance to see everything
in one place. When I go to the Caucus site, I have trouble getting
an overview of what is going on. If we look at this from a
self-organizing, open space perspective, that format is not the one
people easily gravitate to. I have signed on to several groups on
the caucus format and all have slowly fizzled, while any number of
groups in the listserv format hived thrived.

I can suggest a technical aid which has helped me significantly. I
filter messages into various mailboxes in my email software. I have
one for the open space list, for instance. I can look at all the
messages that come from a listserv or individual or other factor I
have used to filter them, or ignore them until I want to look at
them. When I want to look at a particular discussion on the OS list,
I go to the OS list mailbox and sort according to the subject heading
and get all the emails related to that discusssion.

I find this much easier than navigating the caucus site.

I am using Eudora as my email software, which does this easily.
Eudora is available for free in both windows and Macintosh format at:

http://www.eudora.com/

I would be surprised if other email programs and AOL don't let users
do the same things. Most software tries to keep up with the
competition.

Here is one voice for the listserv format for discussions and Open Space.
