Hi Chris, even if your name suggests some weaving tendencies:
Please be careful with your own fascination for these expressive PT-Folks;
according to my opinion you better should facilitate an OST meeting and trust
the OST process than just let the Playback process emerge where and when it
will!
Only after some OS group work I could imagine to 'allow' also scenic or playback
presentations of the subgroup results - perhaps additionally to the discipline
of writing down the essence of their work.
No more plans please for the use of Playback forms for particular parts of the
retreat. The small size of the group, their 'high trust level' and their
natural propensity to do group processing as a whole can also have aspects of
resistance & limitations...

My impression is: every method produces some own impasses and blind spots, the
contrast you offer by practising OS can free people from PT rituals - <and
probably vice versa!>

As a Psychodrama Director with some experience of Playback Theatre I have
experimented with different changes, tried many 'integrations' and method
interweaving activities - now it seems to me, that rather straight experiences
in a contrasting method or with a 'neighbour approach' are the most fruitful and
positively confronting processes of learning.

Sincerely,
Rainer Bosselmann
