Kerry's experience fits mine.

I have had media become participants in OS.  If they took notes or pictures
they did it with the permission of the group they were in.  Some good
articles resulting.  But that was all negotiated with them in the invitation
process.  The events were invitational, not a broadcast invitation to the
community.  I have also had media invited to a session after the close of
the circle to meet with participants on the result.  One client did a
webcast based on the results of the OS meeting to the rest of the
organization and others.

Some sponsor's strategies include media prescence, but keeping them from
being space invaders during the event is a key role for the facilitator and
getting the sponsor to "manage" their participation outside of the event is
crucial.

OSonOS was great! One of the best for learning, diversity and spirit!
