Hi friends of OST and the world......

We had a wonderful learning experience this summer with a 6 days
open Space learning exploration at Castle Borl in Slovenia with 80
people from around the world..

We truly experienced OST as a deep operating system - that could
include any part of a "living together village experience" - where
art, leadership and daily life became a conscious learning experience
for all who took an active part......

for more information please check

and see below for focus and design principles...

- many greetings

our focus was:

WHAT WILL WE BE GATHERING AROUND?

The Open Space has at its core the question:
"What is the future I envision and what is my urge and commitment to
make it happen?"

We believe that this question is likely to invite us into a variety
of themes and issues, where you can connect with others around the
what, and how, of actually beginning to co-create a different future.

BUT NOTE, this is not merely an event where we get together to talk
about how things can be different. We also wish to create an
EXPERIENCE of that future. For three to seven days Castle Borl will
be a community of practice in which we will be able to experiment
with different ways of being and working together.
And each one of us holds a responsibility to make this happen, including you.
To help you join this co-creative flow, we have included our design
principles below. We hope you will join us!

------------------------------------------------------------------------

DESIGN PRINCIPLESS

1. Everyone that comes has something to contribute / offer.
2. We want to make it possible for everyone's voice to be heard
& contribution to be received.
3. We want to inspire questions rather than answers.
4. Periods of rest contribute to the quality of our work.
5. We design to call forth inspiration (rather than products and plans).
6. We want to experiment with how to compose rather than build.
7. We want participants to be able to use what they have learnt
in their lives.
8. We want to allow participants to connect to the local community.
9. In designing our processes we want to use "methods of the
future," (methods that facilitate participation and interaction).
