Switching services

Here's my teaspoon of dirt to the muddy water:

I visited metanet. It is beautiful and it looks and feels like open space.

The messages from Jimbo, Chris C. and others raise the critical issue of not
excluding people for whom web-based conversation is more difficult.
Harrison and Chris suggest keeping the current listserv and using metanet
too, but I have concerns about splitting ourselves in two.

egroups proponants suggest that egroups can do both at once. But I have to
see it to know. Is it as lovely and open-spacey as metanet? I visited
egroups but I didn't want to register for a group to see a sample
conversation. Can Murli or someone set up a sample open space group on
egroups like Harrison did on Metanet so we can try it out?

Let's not rush the switch so we don't make a blunder with this superb
listserv community.

oh my goodness, the metanet space is beeeeeautiful! so much
better than it was in pre-listserv days... seems the
equivalent of open space when compared to the everyday
meeting-ness of the listserv. so nice to go there when i
want to instead of having emails pile up as little pieces of
real conversation. so much easier to scan through multiple
postings. oh come talk to us! i'm giggling! this is a
very good thing. hee hee hee... m

i'm not, mind you, wishing any harm to come to the listserv,
just want to luxuriate in the vastness of this newly
reopened old world at tmn.com
