As you will see below, I sent the following message to Harrison yesterday. I know he will respond when he has the opportunity, but since the timelines on the situation below are short, I'm sending this to the whole list, in hopes that someone will be able to point me in a useful direction.

Subject: Technology Support for OS

Harrison, we have not met, but like many others who have come to know Open Space, I feel I know you, from the US West video, the OS Forum, etc. I sent the request quoted below to Larry Peterson, since I know him and we're pretty close geographically. He was able to give me some information, but suggested I also ask you.

This concerns an opportunity to work with a diverse group of stakeholders regarding dramatic changes to healthcare here in Canada and internationally. In Larry's response, he mentioned a three-location, simultaneous Open Space event at Boeing. Can you give me any details about this, or suggest people I could approach for specifics on using technology to support OS?

Here's an excerpt from my message to Larry, that explains what I'm after.

"I'm looking for any available information on supporting participation of a dispersed audience in Open Space, using the internet or other technology. I've spent a couple of hours on the OSI web sites and reviewed the past few months' of the OS Forum, but haven't seen much. I recall your telling me of an event you facilitated that connected two (three??) sites together and if you could tell me who to talk to about the technology used, the planning required, etc., that would be very helpful. As I recall it, that event used a kind of "batch" connection, with breaking news posted to a common bulletin board. If you know of any events where a more "real time" connection was used, that would be very helpful too. The reason for looking at this is that this opportunity is moving more or less at internet speed, so we don't have much time to plan the event, i.e., 6 weeks or so. With such a short lead time, the likelihood of getting even passionate people together in one place for a day or two is not great. Anything we can do -- like eliminating travel -- to increase the chances would be a real plus."

Thanks in advance.
