self organizing systems

Hello!
I don't have time to set out my own point of view, but you might want to
read Ralph Stacey's new series of books (beginning with COMPLEXITY AND
MANAGEMENT (2000)). He has moved away from believing that organisations are
complex adaptive systems, and argues that there are fundamental problems
with viewing organisations entirely - or even primarily - as systems.
Good wishes
Ed
