Open Space

Wow! This thread has really hooked me. (See my tmn.com thread on Indigenous
Science for a taste of my related Aquarian meanderings.) I am on oslist
digest, so I have not seen anything that has posted since I posted last.

I'm afraid I did not understand Birgitt as I thought I did. And Harrison's
reply has clarified some things for me too. My apologies.

Here's another try to reflect what I hear, and agree with, if you will
indulge me:

Truly there is a realm which we can call Open Space, which is available to
us under the right circumstances.

This Open Space is smaller than the universe, in the sense that it is not
always experienced by us; we might consider it a particularly potent way to
experience what the universe offers. To confuse things I might say that the
universe is Open Space AND it is not always Open Space to us.

And "Open Space" the process, the technology, the entree, is one of the
circumstances in which we can experience this Open Space. There are others.
Still it is a gift that we can facilitate the opportunity for Open Space
with such profound simplicity. And still we distinguish between the
facilitation and the Experience whose source is larger than us.

Language, intention, mindfulness, honoring relations, etc. all influence my
experience of the universe, AND of our little process, as Open Space.

Jeff
