Carol:

I have done Open Space meetings with the following organizations which
may be of interest to you:

Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development (BC Region)

Department of Canadian Heritage (Urban Aboriginal Strategy (Vancouver)
and Urban Multi-Purpose Aboriginal Youth Centres Program in Vancouver,
Edmonton and Calgary and soo in Kelowna).

I have used and continue to use Open Space for community development
work through the Assembly of First Nations in BC. There is a similar
office in Fredricton.

I would encourage to to invite Aboriginal leaders and facilitators to
this training as the process strikes home in a very meaningflu way in
First Nations communities. Also, see if the folks at the Fredricton
Native Friendship Centre are interested. I used to work for the
National Association of Friendship Centres and a few people might
remember me from there. Several people in the Friendship Centre
movement in BC are considering using the process.

I am doing an OS with 26 local municipalities and First Nations next
month to discuss an evolving governance relationship. You might use
this as a way of approaching local government although others will have
had more experience in this regard.

Fell free to pass my name along to anyone associated with the above if
they would like to hear about the process from the persepctive of a
First Nations OS practitioner.

Good luck with the training.....you'll have a ball......

Chris
