Times I have used it this way I have been sure to build it a "meaning making" phase with a small group to make sense of what was learned. This would be alongside if or in lieu of action planning depending on your purpose. </div><div id="yiv9553437433AppleMailSignature"><br clear="none"></div><div id="yiv9553437433AppleMailSignature">One thing that will help you is if you encourage people to capture a higher granularity of data during the discussions. For me this means giving everyone in the room a pad of post it notes for example and asking them to capture small insights or lessons. Through the day people can post these micro harvests on a wall and participants can group and cluster them to see what is emerging. </div><div id="yiv9553437433AppleMailSignature"><br clear="none"></div><div id="yiv9553437433AppleMailSignature">That's one way to do it. The principles here are giving people the ability to record their own thoughts, letting the group itself doing the pattern finding and sense making. </div><div id="yiv9553437433AppleMailSignature"><br clear="none"></div><div id="yiv9553437433AppleMailSignature">So be deliberate and make sure it's used as a coherent part of a developmental evaluation framework.
