<div dir="ltr">Dear friends and colleagues,<div>We do indeed have an interesting opportunity as people who care about facilitating OST to open space for conversations that would be useful, enlightening, and bridging across divides. Change is a constant. Accompanying change as constant is loss even if there are also gains. Accompanying loss is the work of grief. I long ago concluded that we are all of us in the work of grief all of the time.<div><br></div><div>I believe that to successfully facilitate OST, it is important to avoid positionality, in other words, to be neutral. If in the face of change, you cannot maintain neutrality, my question to you all is 'what can you do for yourself to get into neutral on any 'issue' however big and messy, and what can you do to regain your balance. Staying in personal balance, and rebalancing quickly when getting knocked out of it, is of great service in these interesting times we live in.</div><div><br></div><div>Where can you 'open space'? Anywhere and everywhere. It might begin at home with just a few people gathered. I invite you to breathe first, get in personal balance, leave positionality behind, and be of service.</div><div><br></div><div>one of the few truths I have learned in my life is 'nothing is as it appears to be' and another is 'live and let live'. What may seem bad, brings perceived good. What may seem good, brings perceived bad. While all of this is going on, by opening space, we can assist people in being genuine.
