<div dir="ltr"><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div>Dear Hulu and Ms Song, <br><br>What a gift that you were in New York! Happy Chinese Spring to you and thank you for sharing the vibrant new life of spring with us.<br>
<br>In my lifetime, I will never ever forget these three days and then being with you and the Li family in New Jersey with Chuni and Chia and other Open Space friends afterwards. <br><br></div>As is the tradition, it was Martin Luther King weekend and we were at International House. Much to be inspired by. They say it takes a village and a global village was there!<br>
<br></div>I was ignited. I said it before on this list and many others were ignited too. A separate email stream between the participants adding their photos and comments and art to the <a href="https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B0hJ8JesQDPAQUd6OFRiOGxfbnM&usp=sharing">google home</a> attests to that. Everyone is still so vibrantly inspired from their time together with Harrison, with Karen and others. <br>
<br></div>And then this blog... from a participant who created a growing global tribe called <a href="https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/111166240740728636143">HRockstars</a>. His name is Johann Gauthier, he is from Quebec Canada and he is taking the world by storm. He has literally not stopped talking about Open Space on every form of social media since. He traveled through the night from Canada to New York to be with us. His young son, Thomas age 15 joined us. He then traveled back again into the wee hours. <br>
<br></div>Tonight he officially posted this about his first experience in Open Space. <br>

<br></div>He sent links of it to many others...I feel it going viral in the twitter and blog world of leadership and management. <br><br></div>I have copied him on this email urging him to join the <a href="http://www.openspaceworld.org/cgi/wiki.cgi?EmailDiscussionGroups">OS list</a> if he has not done so already. He is a tribe of tribe connector in the way that we are connected to the Agile and Scrum community.<br>
<br></div>How awesome the first awakening to Open Space technology and to feel it so vibrantly and creatively described. Another new post this evening by Creative New Jersey also describes a first experience of Open Space for many in <a href="http://blog.grdodge.org/2014/01/29/trenton-connects-collaborates-and-creates/">Trenton, NJ</a>, though Open Space is not new to New Jersey as it spreads and spreads.<br>

<div dir="ltr"><div><div><div><div><div>Dear friends and colleagues,<br></div><br>I am still brimming from last week in New York City attending the annual gathering hosted by Karen Davis and Harrison. I feel we are living the
exponential growth of Open Space where 6 degrees of separation feels more like 3 degrees of separation. Where Global becomes Local and Local becomes Global. <br>
<br></div><div>Often we are asked what happens after an Open Space. Well in this case I can say there is very strong evidence of a lot that has and is happening. Coincidentally this past weekend, there was another Creative New Jersey Open Space, the 5th or the 6th such event after the first that Chuni Li and I worked on together in 2011. Chuni and I met at International House and it led us to work together a few months later. That collaboration led to a series of events self-directed and self-led in Open Space. Information on this here: <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.facebook.com/CreativeNJ" target="_blank">https://www.facebook.com/CreativeNJ</a> and at <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.creativenj.org/" target="_blank">Creative New Jersey. </a><br>
<br></div><div>Thinking about other familiar faces who were in New York at International House over the years, whose paths crossed and reflecting on the areas that each represent and how much we have all been helping each other, I am in awe: Technology (Agile/Scrum/Kanban); Science, Education, Social Justice, Business, Arts, etc. I was struck about how and when people met, how they stayed connected and how they have worked and supported each other on Open Space events that have happened over the past few years. <br>
<br></div><div>It led me to create a rough <a rel="nofollow" href="https://drive.google.com/?usp=folder&authuser=0#folders/0B0hJ8JesQDPAOUxpYmNKNGozTFk" target="_blank">mind map</a> with the names of folks who were at International House this year to realize that by attending an Open Space event in Orlando Florida in 2010 that Harrison was facilitating, it led to multiple collaborations, deep friendships and many Open Space events not the least of which our World Open Space in Florida last year. <br>
<br>What is also amazing are the deep personal friendships that even extend to our families. For example, Chuni Li invited Ms. Song, Hulu and a few of us for supper at her home on the night after the International House Open Space. We ended up staying overnight and some stayed most of the week due to the big winter storm. Impossible to describe the warm hospitality of the Li family. <br>

So thank you OS list, thank you Harrison, Karen and everyone for enriching my life with friends and purpose. <br>
<br>And looking ahead it's pretty darn exciting to see the tribes of tribes (other groups like HRockstars) becoming connected with our Open Space community and vice versa. <br><br></div><div>Warm greetings to all on this fine Monday morning, one week after being at International House on Martin Luther King day.<br>
