As part of my role in Chapter Development I seem to do a great deal of facilitation. We run and assist others in running a great number of retreats, meetings, conferences, and off-sites throughout the year. From time to time we will include an hour or two of "Open Space". I've always enjoyed this approach but never found it as satisfying as I imagined it could be. This lead me to do some more research about Open Space. I learned that we weren't giving Open Space enough time or space to work effectively. I also learned that I am in love with the philosophy and approach that underlies Open Space.<o:p></o:p></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal>I am incredibly excited to learn more about Open Space and eventually become acquainted with facilitating it properly.
