When I do something like an OSONOS I simply attempt to cover costs. Most recently with the OSONOS by the Sea (well not that recently as that was 3 years ago) the fee was $25. That paid for space and coffee/donuts. A local church provided the space, and all meals and accommodations were handled by the individual participants. Actually we ran a considerable surplus. So with the surplus, I doubled the Church’s fee, as it was ridiculously low, and then sent $500 to the Access Queen. However if we were talking about a major corporation holding a serious working conference (2 ½ days) on a critical issue the money can and (I think) should be equally serious. Of course it is all coming out of a common corporate pot, but
in a recent case I think it probably came out to $1500-2000 per participant. For whatever it is worth, I’ve never had an argument with anybody in terms of the value received.
