<html><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; ">Dear Open Space Friends,<div><br></div><div>I remember the moment I got hooked on being a member of the Open Space Institute US. I was sitting in a breakout session, hosted by Peggy Holman I believe, at the Open Space on Open Space by the Sea that Harrison convened in Camden, Maine in 2007. The session topic was the OSI US Annual Meeting. </div><div><br></div><div>We were sitting in a circle of folding chairs behind the curtains on the stage of the old church where the OSonOS by the Sea was taking place. Among a few others, Peggy, Karen Davis, Gabriel Shirley, Lisa Heft and Harrison were sitting in that circle. The focus of the discussion centered around holding the space for open space as the primary "mission" of OSI US. This captured my imagination because I had been looking for a way to give back to the Open Space community and I had most definitely been practicing holding the space. </div><div><br></div><div>Before I knew it, I was not only a member of OSI US, I had also joined the board, primarily because so many of my favorite open space wonks were also on the board. Through working with Peggy Holman, Karen Davis, Lisa Heft, Gabriel Shirley, Doug Germann, Tree Fitzpatrick, Phelim McDermott, Ed Laboy, Suzanne Daigle, Harold Shinsato an others, space has been opened inside of me.</div><div><br></div><div>Warm wishes from a stormy Phoenix evening,</div><div><div> <span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: separate;
