It was an important reminder.<br>Behind your words I hear the question, "What value has any board every<br>offered to an organization?" Perhaps "board" and "boredom" have the same<br>wroot??? <toothy grin><br><br>Really, however, I've been meaning for some time to post about something else.<br><br>I'm curious what y'alls (American slang for "all of you") practice of giving<br>the instructions/invitation for creating the Community Bulletin Board during<br>the formal opening of the space looks like.<br><br>Here's a little context:<br><br>Speaking with a friend and participant from a recent local OST event I'd<br>facilitated- a Compassionate Communication (NVC/Nonviolent Commmunication)<br>practice day- I got the feedback that all the chaos during the creation of<br>the Community Bulletin Board was too much, it just *wasn't* *harmonious*. It<br>really challenged the sense of order and beauty that she thrives on in<br>everyday life. It took me some time to understand what she was talking<br>about. And after I understood her, I told her it was unlikely I would work<br>any differently based on what she said because I found that chaos in the<br>beginning as a natural part. I did promise to post this question.
