1st wave of the 1-Day OSPC (Open Space Practitioners Camp)<BR></FONT><BR></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>Oh Spark and Jackie, OMG (oh my God!). This is truly a labor of
love. I still have tears in my eyes watching this from beginning to end.
So elegant, so simple and such a gift to the participants. I
love the black background, the individual components and everything. The
music still sings inside me with the beautiful song that you chose: "It's
all about YOU". The music has this old-fashion grab at your heart melody.
<BR><BR>I hope you share this beautiful gift with the entire OS community
assuming your participants are ok with this. Again a real Labor of LOVE!
<BR><BR>Do I have permission to share it with a few of my friends who have just
recently facilitated their first Open Spaces and who are living the bliss that I
lived and still live being engaged in this work?<BR><BR>The timing today could
not have been better. Unbelievably, I still struggle with my internal
voices often feeling so inadequate especially as I engage in pre-work with
clients, hearing their worries and struggles while feeling them so drawn to Open
Space for all the right reasons. With compassion, I try to hear and listen to
them, being there for them as they find their own courage because the conditions
for Open Space seem right. In those difficult moments, I hear and feel
their concerns. I know they are looking for reassurance which I cannot give.
This is part of the mutual journey we are on. It's not always easy because I
still hear my own doubting voice, the one that rears its ugly head from the days
when I too was always seeking "outcome"and "predictable results" disguised
in my very controlling "let me help you" ways! Today this was good for my
soul!<BR><BR>I always feel inspired to realize that whether we are in Berlin,
Korea, Chile, Israel or elsewhere, people are people. We all have our
hopes, dreams and struggles and Open Space reminds us that we truly are
beautiful creatures inside,-out and that life in the moment is a very grand
thing!<BR><BR>So Spark and Jackie, just know that by opening space and helping
others open space as practitioners, you are giving so much. To illustrate
that point, I use a quote from the ending of "the Tao of Holding Space" by
Chris Corrigan which he titled <U>Give it Away</U>:<BR><BR>"Harrison Owen
released Open Space to the world. With few words and a wave of the hand, he
offered it to all. Take a lesson from him. Give more than you are willing to and
set your highest work into the world, so all may benefit from the spaces you
will hold so beautifully."<BR><BR>Spark and Jackie, this is what you have done
and are doing. Thank you. <BR><BR>With great admiration and
affection,<BR>Suzanne<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>I still struggle so much in
learning to let go the reins of control that were so much part of my life and
shutting down the little voice of criticism as I assess my depth or lack of
depth. I should know by now that it's not about me as I've experienced the
gift <BR><BR><BR>I feel that I succeed while facilitating the Open Space;
where it's harder is in being present with clients during the pre-work with the
eternal questions on "outcomes" and "what's next" . I feel deep compassion
<BR><BR><BR>I felt myself transported to<BR><BR>I said it quiet openly many
times before that the click inside of me that Open Space triggered .
I know it is time for me to silence this little voice inside of me that
