To Michaels' summary I can add one detail about the link between Open<br>
Space and Wikis.<br>
The 2006 Wikisym, where Ted & I facilitated the Open Space part, was the<br>
one and only time where I went not knowing the central theme, not having<br>
met either my client or my<br>
co-facilitator, and not knowing the exact time schedule either. Nor was it<br>
clear who was going to make an opening statement. I had visited the<br>
premises so I had an idea what was possible, and other than that after<br>
having E-mailed and Skyped a bit I had a sense<br>
we'd figure things out at the site, the evening beforehand.<br>
<br>
The one detail that came to my mind is that while we were sitting at a<br>
dinner table<br>
in a restaurant not far from the meeting site, and we came to the point on<br>
my little checklist on who would make an openings statement, there were a<br>
couple other participants at another table, one of whom was Ward<br>
Cunningham. He gracefully accepted<br>
making an opening statement, and I recall one sentence from it "What wikis<br>
are for internet, Open Space is for face to face meetings".<br>
