house.</i><br><br>...and i want to say that i do not own the oslist. most recently, i was referring only to the history that is held in the pages of <a href="http://openspaceworld.org">openspaceworld.org</a>.<br><br>murli nagasundaram is the guy who first invited us (here) to boise state, and has been the nominal owner as far as the boise state list admin folks are concerned. my earliest observation in this thread, about the oslist ownership, was just to point out that if boise state decided to change their systems, we have no control at all over that. for now, we are just lucky that we have murli -- and also lucky that the admin guys like him/us well enough that we've worked out an arrangement through which the admin guys will to look after us, even if murli were to leave the uni. <br>

although, as I said before, virtual work for me is very much about trust<br>
building. This entire conversation over the last couple of days has helped<br>
me to build trust in a couple of people, including you, Karen. It has also<br>
strengthened my trust in Michael and my appreciation for his generosity.<br>

If the new list of Kaliya is about continuing this conversation and calling<br>
upon somebody who is not even there, I can just say: good luck. I won't be<br>
there. And maybe Kaliya, you might learn a lesson: Virtual collaboration is<br>
not about tools at all, it is not about standards, wikis, nings, lists etc.<br>
At the heart of virtual collaboration is the desire of togetherness. I can<br>
be together with people on a Listserv, in a Ning group, in a Skype group<br>
chat, in a VoIP conversation, on a Wiki, and in many other ways (I just<br>
learned that over the last months). At the end, tools make our live easier.<br>
But what counts are the hearts and souls of people. If we reduce the virtual<br>
collaboration discussion to tools and standards, we miss the esential point.<br>
This is why I continue to hang out here, and this is why I keep observing<br>
the growth of the Ning gourp (which isn't yet really close in spirit to this<br>
list here. But I hope it will develop).<br>
