Esther, Oh how I wish I lived closer especially now that we've had a chance to meet in NYC which never would have happened if not for OS. Such good information Esther especially after Michael Pannwitz's challenge to me to start a Stammtisch in Florida. That will certainly be part of my future and I'll be re-reading all of this rich sharing again. In the meantime though, I'm heading to Taiwan (using my frequent flier miles) to revel in the international experience of my first OSonOS. Having the opportunity to create an intimacy in our local communities with OS and also connect at the International level is just awesome. So thanks again for such a complete and detailed write-up. Maybe you could skip down here to FL when we do the inaugural OS if not in 2009 certainly in 2010. Suzanne <br>

That exceptional gathering within an ODNGNY event was different, and gave an opportunity to explain Open Space and how it works to people who had heard about it but not necessarily knew a lot about it.<br>
<br>
One consultant said she uses OS mostly to inspire her work, using the agenda creation part to start their meetings, and looks for opportunities to bring a “full blown” event to her workplace. Another works with America Speaks and could see the connection between OS and their own specific methodology, which has a certain OS spirit embedded in it. Another hadn’t used it yet but had participated to an OS event and saw it as very powerful. Another could see the opportunity to bridge her art background in working with an OS facilitator to record discussions graphically. Others were simply curious and wanted to learn more.<br>

We answered a lot of questions, talked about heart, passion, engagement, letting go, responsibility and some other “essential” ingredients of OS such as circle, a will to open space and follow through, giving a full and unedited report to participants at the end of the event.<br>

Ce cercle exceptionnel dans le cadre d'une activité du réseau de DO du Grand New York était différent, donnant l'occasion d'expliquer le Forum ouvert à des gens qui en avaient entendu parler mais n'étaient pas nécessairement familiers avec la méthode.<br>
<br>
Une consultante s'inspire du FO dans son travail, créant l'ordre du jour de ses réunions à la façon FO, mais cherchant toujours une occasion d'organiser un véritable FO dans son organisation. Un autre qui travaille avec America Speaks voyait un lien entre le FO et la méthodologie spécifique à l'organisme, qui semble imprégné d'un certain esprit FO. Un autre ne l'avait jamais utilisé, mais avait participé à un FO et estimait la méthode très puissante. Une autre encore pouvait voir émerger l'occasion d'établir une connexion entre ses antécédents en arts et un travail avec un animateur de FO pour créer des rapports visuels. D'autres encore étaient tout simplement curieux d'en savoir plus.<br>

Nous avons répondu à beaucoup de questions, parlé de coeur, de passion, d'engagement, d'abandon, de responsabilité et d'autres ingrédients "essentiels" du FO comme le cercle, la volonté d'ouvrir l'espace et de soutenir les résultats, la remise aux participants d'un rapport complet, sans travail d'édition, à la fin de l'événement.<br>

Notre prochain cercle se tiendra le 17 novembre. Je cherche un nouvel endroit pour se réunion. Si quelqu'un connaît un endroit où nous pourrions prendre un verre, un repas et avoir des conversations quelque part entre les 45e et 68e rue du East Side de de Manhattan, je suis tout ouie!<br>
