I too am a symposium facilitator and have been an OS practitioner for several years. I think many of us in the ATD community are also OS practitioners. I am based in the UK and it is quite usual here to open space at the end of the symposium. It is a great way for the energies ignited in the room to converge around actions...I hope you found this worked for you in your symposium.</div><div><br></div><div>In recent weeks we have also talked about the Transition Towns Movement on this listserve...this is another community focused on creating a new and better world after cheap oil. And that 'Massive participation in healing the planet becoming a great source of pride for the global citizenry' was the way this happened. <br> <br> With a similar vision and different approaches is the<a href="http://www.pachamama.org/content/blogcategory/88/133/"> Pachamama Alliance</a> which has developed the <a href="http://awakeningthedreamer.org/">Awakening the Dreamer (ATD) Symposium </a>This is a well constructed way of alerting people in all walks of life to four questions about 'Where we are?', 'How did we get here?', 'What's possible for the future?' and 'Where do we go from here? in regard to healing the little blue planet - 3rd from the sun - which is our home. <u2:p></u2:p></span><o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="color: black;">Was there ever a group process more tailor made to address this last?<br> <br> From my experiences, learning and ideals I see links between what these two groups are doing and OST practice. With this in mind I am going to <st1:city u1:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Manila</st1:city></st1:city> next week to co-facilitate the first ATD Symposium in the <st1:country-region u1:st="on"><st1:place u1:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Philippines</st1:place></st1:country-region></st1:place></st1:country-region>, on Tues 14th. <br> <br> And have alerted Spacenik friends there. <br> <br> Could it be that OST becomes widely used for follow up to ATD Symposiums after they have been presented to groups of many kinds and size? I am now among nearly 1000 facilitators world wide who have undertaken training and are registered to facilitate the Symposium and will bring this potential to the attention of the others. </span><o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="color: black;">There are of course plenty of other initiatives which are in tune with the two I have mentioned here.
