from 18th-21st October 2006, we are offering an international Open Space
Facilitators training at the Olympic Rowing Facility of Eton College,
near London, UK. Participants will come from all corners of the
world.<br><br>
In our workshop, you will learn the essentials of Open Space
Facilitation. You will understand why and how self-organization works and
how the principles of Open Space can be applied to management of change
in complex systems such as communities or organizations. After the
training course, you will be able to organize, manage and facilitate Open
Space events. <br><br>

<h2><b>Programme and Content</b></h2><b>Day 1: Background (13.00-18.30
hrs)</b>

<li>What is Open Space?
<li>History of Open Space Technology
<li>Theory: Change in complex systems
<li>Working with the client to prepare an Open Space event.

<b>Day 2: Open Space conference (9.00-18.00 hrs)</b>
<ul>
<li>A full day Open Space event on a topic chosen by the participants.

<b>Day 3: How to plan, prepare and conduct an Open Space event
(9.00-18.00 hrs)</b>

<li>A half day Open Space event on Open Space Technology

<b>Day 4: Roles and Responsibilities (9.00-16.00 hrs)</b>

<li>The role of the Open Space Facilitator
<li>Applications of OST
<li>Preconditions of OST
<li>Action planning and conversion of results

In between sessions we will make sure that there is plenty of time for
all your questions related to successful OS facilitation.<br><br>
The Trainers<br><br>
<b>Valerie Morris, South Africa</b>, founder of Renaissance Business
Associates (RBA) in South Africa in 1985 is a Management Consultancy
committed to personal development and organizational change. Valerie’s
key focus of interest is the maximising of the flow of information,
communication, and inclusivity in organizations. She is also a committed
net-worker. She is considered the South African expert in Open Space
Technology as a large group process for the enhancement of dialogue and
deep listening which is used for strategic planning, restructuring,
releasing creativity and involving as many people as possible in an
organization. <br><br>
<b>Holger Nauheimer, Germany and Slovakia</b>, has a long experience as a
technical and management consultant for private and public organizations
in Germany and worldwide. He has supported Change Management Processes in
more than 30 countries, among them Germany, Italy, Argentina, Pakistan,
Nepal, South Africa, etc, applying and teaching Open Space Technology,
Future Search Conferences, Appreciative Inquiry and other Change
Management Approaches. He is director of Change Facilitation s.r.o.,
Bratislava, Slovakia, and regularly advises international projects in
Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. Being the author of the. His
special focus is on systemic consultancy and leadership skills. <br><br>
