I hope gives me permission to include her thoughts. And I agreed that we are,

that dialogue with the sponsor in the planning and they normally do a good job
of articulating what needs to be said to create the focus for the event (and
what will be done with the results).<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>
</span>I disagree with Lisa about what is said before an event, I think the
sponsor’s voice and presence is necessary.<span
style='mso-spacerun:yes'> </span>It is the sponsor’s event and not
the open space facilitators.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'> </span>That
may “reduce” the space or energy but I don’t think so –
it clarifies it.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'> </span>It may not be the
clarity that we like, but it is their initiative to carry on.<span
style='mso-spacerun:yes'> </span>So, their visible presence says
something to the room and clarifies the nature of the event.<span
style='mso-spacerun:yes'> </span>Do the “people”
formally own it after the opeing—for sure!<span
style='mso-spacerun:yes'> </span>But as </span></font><st1:place><font
size=2 color=navy face=Arial><span lang=EN-CA style='font-size:10.0pt;
