<DIV></DIV>>levels. But whether we need to change the words, I don’t know. First off,
<DIV></DIV>>two feet normally come attached to a single individual. If we were dealing
<DIV></DIV>>with some other number of feet, it might be useful to specify the point of
<DIV></DIV>>attachment, as in My Two Feet, His two feet, Their two feet, -- or whatever
<DIV></DIV>>number of feet are attached to whatever bodies. Considering the
<DIV></DIV>>possibilities of an Open Space including four footed creatures, centipedes
<DIV></DIV>>(100 footed), and other randomly footed beings is mind blowing.

<DIV></DIV>>We then come to the issue of how we might actually change the words. Would
<DIV></DIV>>this require a canonical council meeting over a number of years to consider
<DIV></DIV>>the possibility and issue a global finding? Then again, if you feel the need
<DIV></DIV>>of some different words, why not just use them? Most of us have, and
<DIV></DIV>>doubtless will continue.

<DIV></DIV>>Personally, I rather like the “Law of Two Feet”. Has a certain ring to it.
<DIV></DIV>>Sounds kind of official and judicial! And goodness knows we certainly need
<DIV></DIV>>to do everything in our power to clean up this Open Space business and make
<DIV></DIV>>it respectable. Sounding judiciously official is certainly a good start.

<DIV></DIV>>from about 30 European countries, I found myself in front of the poster with
<DIV></DIV>>the law of the two feet, thinking: wouldn't it be more personal, more
<DIV></DIV>>concrete, more logical to call it "the law of my two feet?" For me the law
<DIV></DIV>>is the most basic thing in os concerning self-organization... being
<DIV></DIV>>responsible for myself and MY two feet.
