whenever someone tells me that an ost-event has taken place anywhere and wants to be on the world map, in they go.<BR>
This map, by the way, can be incorporated into other websites (instructions for that are on my site) and is automatically updated whenever my webmaster changes anything in it.<BR>
The idea with the new map is to show all 174 countries in the world with a popup window for each country which will show the names of practitioners that choose to be shown there. Countries where there is a facilitator will get a different color. Clicking on a facilitator might give some more info, like an email or a website.<BR>
The number of facilitators in any box might give a hint as how widely spread ost is in that country.<BR>
Also, it gives people the means to contact a facilitator and facilitators to contact each other...for such things as they might fit to contact each other for: meet for a cup of coffee, plan an os-event, look in when a colleague does an os, organise a regional OSonOS, share a ride to Goa, etc.<BR>
I hope to have a more complete prototype up this month.<BR>

There you can click yourself through some 102 events that have been facilitated by 7 facilitators in Berlin since 1996, you can also click on branches (NGOs, Education, Business, etc....these fields are also shown as a mindmap) and get an idea on how ost is being used in different areas.<BR>
The search function also allows you to see which ost-events have been facilitated by someone in a particular field.<BR>
Each os-event has a lot of detail, many including photos and links to the sponsor, to the meeting site, etc. As far as I know, about 200 events have occured in Berlin...and there are some 50 facilitators. The map has been up just a few weeks and not everybody has entered their material.<BR>
This "os-map" can be used by other people for their city, region, country....just needs some language adaptation.<BR>
