Michael Pannwitz in Wolfsburg, where we worked as Visual Recorders,
drawing 150 pictures representing about 30 sessions, we are still buzzing
with all the themes. It makes such a difference for the participants when they
can walk to the picture wall inbetween and look at all the contributions. it
is not only a method of recording, but also a source for new insights and

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Here are two alternatives I've
used.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>One is hanging flip chart notes taken during
sessions on the news wall. If just seeing what others said is all that's
necessary, you can do a "gallery walk" before the closing circle.
Admittedly the notes still suffer from some of the editing issues already
mentioned but because they're visible during the sessions, they belong to
everyone. If there is a need for people to have hard copy, you can take
digital photos and quickly turn them into readable prints.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Alternatively, if the notes are not going to be
used immediately, I have passed around a list in the closing circle asking
notetakers to put their names, e-mail addresses and their topic
on paper. I give them an e-mail address and about 2 days to
get the notes to me. Everyone gets a web site address where they can
find the notes in 4 days. While follow-up is generally required with a
few folks, this has worked successfully a number of times.</FONT></DIV>
