<P><BR>What can I do to help? I've asked myself every day. I know you have too. <BR><BR>

<P>Friday night I got the word of a plan for everyone to step outside at 7pm and light a candle. That was something that someone created for us "to do". I stepped out onto my street to find many neighbors standing outside their buildings with candles. Almost immediately we proceeded to do what humans do at times like this: we gathered together. We found strength in our numbers, peace in the presence of others facing the same tragedy.<BR><BR>And then we began to sing. We sang in English and Spanish; we sang solo and en masse; we sang of God's grace and the strength of our nation; we sang of patriotism and peace. We sang. <BR><BR>Because music heals. <BR><BR>What can I do to help? What do I have to offer? I am not an engineer; I am not a doctor; I am not a construction worker...<BR><BR>I am a musician. And THAT is what I have to offer. Music. <BR><BR>So I have decided not to cancel my DeBaun show! this Saturday. At 8pm we will gather to make music. We will gather to be together; to console one another and most importantly to celebrate life together. <BR><BR>All proceeds of Saturday's concert will go to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. We will also be set up to collect any additional monetary donations you might want to make to the Fund. (Please make any checks out to the American Red Cross and in the memo section write NYC/Washington Explosion Relief Effort.) I will also be donating a portion of each CD sale to the Fund.<BR><BR>After the show, if you would like to join us, we will make a candlelight walk 4 blocks down the river to the memorial at Sinatra Park. It is a memorial created by survivors of this great tragedy. It is a powerful sight at the corner of the park that looks out over the Hudson at the gaping whole that was once the World Trade Center. <BR><BR>I hope you will join us if you can ! in this CELEBRATION OF LIFE.<BR>Love.......................!
