As I explained in my original note, time is
short. It sounds like we should keep KISS in mind or we may get mired
in technology that we can't manage in the time available and never accomplish
what we really want. I will follow up with the Caucus option for later
use, however, since the immediate opportunity here in Canada may point to a more
global opportunity where multiple locations could be a real advantage -- and we
will have the time to investigate properly.

did a two site thing and used their corporate intranet and email. Frankly I
think there are simpler and more elegant ways to go. The simplest and cheapest
is just with email with a small back room operation in each site. When the
bulletin board is posted and when each discussion report is entered -- all are
simply emailed to the other site(s) and posted hard copy on the wall. The
backroom operation (BO) also takes note of similar activities in each place
and alerts discussion leaders -- all done in person and/or by posting hard
copy. The BO also collates issues from all sites for the final
prioritization. This needs to be done carefully so that folks don't feel that
"Their" issue somehow got buried. If you check the User's Guide (2nd edition)
you will find most of this spelled out.

A more elegant (and expensive)
way to go is to use the program services of Caucus. They have created a
package which does a good job of replicating Open Space electronically. It can
be used in conjunction with an Open Space or as a stand alone. You might check
them out at <caucus.com>. If you want more info email
<lisa@caucus.com> an old friend and say that I sent
you.

Harrison
