Dear Anne,
how wonderful that you will join WOSONOS this year. I have so many happy
memories of our times at what was then OSONOS and of my times joining you
in Seattle and your visit to us in Ontario. We certainly got up to a lot of
creativity, high spirits, high play, and more.

As much as we are all grateful to Harrison for the gift of OST, Anne you
are so very key in Harrison truly recognizing OST and getting it out into
the world...joined by others of us at the time who dedicated a fair bit of
effort as ambassadors of OST. Dear Anne, I express my gratitude to you and
am delighted that those who join WOSONOS will have the joy of being with
you.

I believe it was OSONOS 1996 when we all planned on having quite a party,
only to arrive at our meeting space to discover the doors locked, Harrison
having the only key, and Harrison not to be found. What a session we had
outside of that meeting room in the lobby feeling it was symbolic that
Harrison should not have the only key to our fun. By the morning we had a
plan. You drew a Tarot Card representing Harrison: the Priestess. A very
appropriate card. You then felt I should be the one to present the card and
its meaning to Harrison. One thing led to another and I agreed to do the
presenting within a bigger ceremony that we had concocted. And so in the
morning news, I asked Harrison to join me in the center of the circle while
I was saying my bit. My contribution was to share this Priestess card with
Harrison, express our gratitude to him for his shepherding role with OST,
and then I asked all of the people making up the OS Institutes in the world
to stand up. They were newly formed at the time. About a dozen people stood
up including yourself, Peggy, Larry, Brian...and I took Harrison's hand and
invited him to step into this circle of the the group of those of us
taking leadership in supporting OST in the world. He stepped into the
circle. I then asked if everyone who was committed to OST in the world
stand up and the entire circle of participants stood up...I feel there were
close to one hundred, and I then invited Harrison and our people from the
OS Institutes to step back into the big circle of people as we all joined
together in standing for our support of OST so Harrison wasn't a lone voice
with too much responsibility. All very beautiful and very symbolic. You, I
and others had a great time concocting that...not only to be symbolic...we
believed in the power and importance of community gathered in a common
purpose.

I continue to hope that it is possible for me to attend and be past this
nonsense with my health...big intention to be in the gathering of people
dear to my heart.

in genuine contact,
heart with heart,
Birgitt
