[OSList] Meeting Facilitator's Toolkit (includes Zoom at half price for first 500 users!)

Hi All,

If you're looking for a tool to collect notes during an OS, if you want to
use Zoom for video meetings of any sort, or if you're already using Zoom
and want to cut your costs in half, you will likely find this helpful.

Thank you to Michael Herman for sharing his original idea of a "online
toolkit" for meeting facilitators to help them easily collect notes during
both in-person & online open space events.  I finally got this together,
and in addition to a notes tool, I added actual Zoom video chat for online
meetings.  The total price is $7/month (less than half of what Zoom costs
on its own at retail price).

The announcement below went out to the NCDD mailing list a few minutes ago,
and I wanted to share it here.  Thanks to Paul, Tricia, Tony, and Skye for
their thoughts and encouragement a few weeks ago on the weekly OS Hotline.

Hi All,

If you're already using Zoom, here is a way to cut your costs in half.  If
you haven't heard of Zoom yet, it has become the top choice for hosting
video chats and dialogues across NCDD over the past few years.  They charge
$15/month per host.

Fortunately, Zoom also has a way for software developers (like myself) to
build apps on top of their services.  I ran some numbers and realized that
I can offer Zoom at just $7/month (saving you $96/year).  They will bill me
a 30 cents per hour per person, so I break even if you use this for 22
person-hours or less per month (that's 22 people for 1 hour or 2 people for
11 hours, etc).  I think in the aggregate, I can make a slight profit which
is all that's necessary to keep this tool sustainable.  This also helps
spread the word about QiqoChat, so it is worth the effort and cost.

I'm calling this the "Meeting Facilitator's Toolkit" and I've bundled a
collaborative note-taking tool in there for free.  More info is below if
interested.  Do you have suggestions for how to make this even more useful
to you?  Zoom already includes breakout rooms, screensharing, and white
boarding (for drawing).  What other tools would you want to see bundled

QiqoChat, but they can if they want.

Once I connected Zoom, I started thinking... what other tools could I
bundle in there for free for meeting facilitators?  So the second tool in
the toolkit is already available now too: collaborative notes.  This seems
to be the most needed feature that Zoom is missing-- a simple way for video
participants to take notes together.  So, when you are getting ready to
host a meeting, you can quickly create a "meeting page" on QiqoChat and
each meeting page can have one or more collaborative notes pages.  This is
an easy way for you to keep notes for breakout sessions organized or notes
for recurring meetings all in one place.
