Osele16 (the 4th Open Space European Learning Exchange, aka LEX, celebrated
in Donostia, May 7th-13th) has brought plenty of learning, community/tribe
spirit and surprises, as OSonOSes usually do. You can see here

the reports and action plans, photos,...

A beautiful story that stroke me a bit happened on May the 10th. This was
the preparation day for a 2‘5 days OSonOS. We had done our plans: "10am-6pm
we prepare the site; then we prepare the table and do some shopping and
7pm-9pm we enjoy the reception, to say hello specially to those who came
from far places."

I remember Wojtek asking me* “how are you?”,* he calmly having come with
Rakel and Taras just to say hello around 4pm before going out to enjoy
their walk in the beautiful Donostia. I was true: *“very happy and a bit
anxious”*. *“Why?”* he asked with his buda-like permanent smile :). He was
true and I didn’t now.

I was nervous because of fear, I suppose. Fear to, just at the last moment,
not being able to come up with the expectation. Fear not to even be able to
host properly all the people that had trusted us,... (By the way, the big
question of #OSELE16, one we, in fact, were at the beginning quite shy
about -*From fear to love: how can Open Space help the ReLovution?*- proved
at the end to be quite a sharp inspiration, many people told us they loved
it, kudos :)!

We had just two hours left to our planned time and there were still lots of
things to be done and few people of "us" the “organizing team” with time
availability. Besides, we were supposed to leave the room at 9pm, so
keeping longer would be no solution.

No way to accomplish our plan, thinking “reasonably”. But life has its own
plan, we know. Around 6pm Hilda (supposedly, a “receptionee”-does the word
exist?) appeared and took charge of the shopping, then Elke and Laurent
appeared, who would collaborate painting the wonderful welcome poster.

7:15 pm and still lots of things to be done. Eleder, breath in, breathe
out. Those people deserve some welcome words from the invitors, let’s stop
and drink some cider. Forget about yourself and trust life.

So, we improvised everything afterwards. In other words, we let the our
bodies in hands of the spirit just to be the way it is. Someone said some
welcome words. Then some of the locals sang two traditional Basque songs
(Eperrak & Txoria Txori). Then we sang some improvised verses -worldwide
playful oral tradition that remains strong in our land-, we ate and drank
something, and continued to work, Rakel (guitar and voice) & Javi (citar)
delighted us with some wonderful songs.

>From 8pm on, all the people (Laura, Jokin, Sonia, Ainhoa, children, Lisa,
Xenki, Dawa...) in the place were “*celebrworking*” :)! Soon the space was
properly prepared and people happy to have contributed.

Today I read a message from Taras :* " ...I found some shootings in my
cellphone and made a short amateur video report from OSELE
https://vimeo.com/168720448 <https://vimeo.com/168720448>.*" This great
*amateur* (the word is so appropriate, isn't it? *Amateur* would mean in
French *the one who loves or is passionate about!*) video report s perfect
to illustrate this story. Thanks Taras!

Someone said,* “The OSonOS already started today!”*

Then I’ve been thinking about this a bit longer. When did OSELE16 really
start? When, before leaving to Wosonos15 to Krakow, questioning locals to
know if someone had any news for me to bring ther? With Xenki´s answer
telling me to propose someone-Lisa- to give a Workshop in Donostia? Wiht
Michael's proposal to *“what if you invited the 4th LEX/Osele16“*?

Dit it really finish last Friday, May 13th? Will it ever be over?

There's the story of Paul Coleman and* "Everything is moving, Everything is
moving!" *Now I know it better in my bones.

Love,

Eleder Aurtenetxe
